Parents are required to pack a lunch that follows the Canadian Health Food Guide. Children need to be provided with a variety of textured food from all 4 food groups. Parents will need to pack enough food for their child for breakfast (if the child arrives early) morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack. Children need to come with a water bottle daily labeled with your child’s name.
No, Children ages 3 and up are provided with access to the bathroom for their bathroom needs. Children are assisted if they ask for help. Children under 3 years old are diapered at a change table. Children can start potty training at 2 years old and will need to wear a pull-up until they can communicate that they need to go to the bathroom. Once the child learns to verbally say they need to go to the washroom, the child can then be switched to being in underwear.
